How This Macro Split Is Actually Built

Most macro calculators pick a flat percentage split, like 40/30/30, and apply it to everyone regardless of size. That approach breaks down badly for anyone significantly lighter or heavier than average. This calculator builds macros the way a real coach would: protein first, set in grams per kilogram of a sensible reference bodyweight, fat next as a percentage of calories with a floor for hormonal health, and carbs get whatever calories are left over.

Build order
1. Total calories = TDEE adjusted for your goal
2. Protein = 1.4-1.9g per kg of reference bodyweight (higher for fat loss, adjusted if you carry excess weight)
3. Fat = ~25% of total calories
4. Carbs = whatever calories remain, divided by 4

This is the exact same nutrition engine that builds a real member's plan inside the SanoobFit app, including the reference-bodyweight adjustment for protein, not a simplified marketing version.

The SanoobFit Position

Macros are a compass, not a cage. Total calories decide whether you gain or lose weight. Your macro split decides how that weight change actually looks and feels, how full you stay, and how much muscle you keep. Get close most days and stop chasing perfect ones.

Where This Fits in APEX

Inside SanoobFit's APEX system, showing up at your macro targets consistently is tracked as the Nutrition Adherence standard, central to advancing out of Stage 1, Foundation, and to the Recomposition program.

Frequently asked questions

What are macros?
Macros, short for macronutrients, are the three sources of calories in food: protein, carbohydrates and fat. A macro split is how your total daily calories are divided between the three.
Are all calories the same if my macros are right?
Total calories still govern whether you gain, lose or maintain weight. Macros govern body composition, satiety and performance on top of that, not whether the scale moves.
Do I need to hit my macros exactly every day?
No. These are targets to aim near, not a medical prescription. Being within 5 to 10 grams most days is completely normal and produces real results over time.

This tool gives an estimate to guide your plan. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace advice from your own doctor, especially if you have a medical condition affecting your metabolism or nutrition needs.
